Body piercing has a long history, dating back to the ancient Egyptians who considered ear and navel piercings as a mark of royalty. Although tattoos and piercings are the most common forms of body art, some more extreme forms are also practiced in the world which look out of the world! yeah! People wide and far have used their bodies as canvases to express cultural identity, community status, connection to ancestors or gods for quite long— and to mark rites of passage or to ‘wear’ a permanent amulet.
